About
Kacy Fogden - Bio
The granddaughter of NZ trainer Ashley Fogden, Kacy moved to Australia in 2007. Kacy worked with Aquis from its establishment in 2015 becoming an integral part of the development of major Australian racing and breeding operation.
Managing the daily care and career preparation for over 150 young racehorses, Fogden ensured that these racehorses under her care were presented in outstanding order as they transition to the leading stables throughout the country.
Kacy obtained her training licence in 2019 and trained privately for Aquis Farm, a selection of Hong Kong and Queensland based clients from her Canungra and Gold Coast Training Centres. Kacy sent out her first winner with just her 13th runner when Happy Two Thousand saluted at the Sunshine Coast in July 2019. Kacy then followed up with her first double as a trainer when King’s Full and Dubai Tycoon won at the same course later that month and then V J Day gave her a first metropolitan winner at Doomben in that November. In her first season as a trainer, she had an impressive 19% win ratio!
The desire for Kacy’s services outside of Aquis Farm, led to the launch of Kacy Fogden Racing on December 1 2020. Having already had eight winners in the few short months of operating, and with the investment in quality yearlings and stock coming through, it will be no surprise that Kacy’s name will continue to regular feature in the winner’s circle.
A metropolitan-winning trainer, Kacy’s high level of planning and development of young racehorses has seen an impressive winning strike rate achieved.
